Sort of bored of the Assassin.. quick question
We just completed factions/nightfall, and i was spammin dagger combos the entire time.
I'm pretty bored of daggers. I've tried various critical builds with way of the master, but none of them come close to mobius/death blossom spam in terms of crazy damage. I go from a string of 60-100 damage hits with dagger attacks and non stop energy to a much slower scythe or bow doing half the damage. But I really want to do all campaigns on this character. I've always had separate characters for each, but never completed all 4 with just 1. Is it at all plausible to pick up a staff and go elementalist or something new even though I don't get energy storage? Or anything new and interesting, but still have Assassin as primary? |

You could try maxing Deadly Arts and running Assassin's Promise. That should help fuel whatever you want, within reason. But seriously, if you're bored of Assassins after one campaign, playing it further is just going to be a waste of time.

You really shouldn't be doing a lot less damage with a scythe, sure the attack-skills might be lower but the auto-attack damage you do with a scythe should do a lot more damage.
(assuming you are using some critical strikes scythe build). Btw. remember that a scythe hits multiple targets at the time. Last edited by majoho; May 15, 2010 at 02:56 AM // 02:56.. |

Try the assasin promise and see how you like it. I also enjoy the critical scythe build. Got the be kind of a pain since stuff would just blow up before I could even get three skills off but it is fun to run as well.

AP will solve your energy problems assuming you aren't running a bunch of 25 energy spells and can kill at a decent rate, so you can pretty much run whatever you want. If you wanted to be somewhat effective at it, you could focus on using AP to shorten the downtimes of good skills, such as Mark of Pain, so that they're available for each enemy. Spamming PvE skills is another option, but hopefully you can be more creative than that (not to say spamming PvE skills is a bad option, however).

One thing I'm having fun with right now is consecutively twice knocking down single enemies together with the dagger combos, that is, Brawling Headbutt + "You Move Like A Dwarf" + the main four skills of the moebius chain.
Again with the moebius chain, there is some coolness in shadow stepping every ten seconds with either Viper Defense which poisons adjacent enemies or Ebon Escaping to allies quickly. |
